...fängt die Sonne ein

4 große Orangen
1/2 Wassermelone
500 g Erdbeeren
Alles Liebe,
die Neva

Happy-Summer-Juice
...catches the sunshine in your glass
Summer is here and I am basically living in the garden now. It's amazing to feel the sunshine on my skin, listen to the birds singing and watching the flowers and plants grow. I LOVE it! Somehow my „real me“ isn't made for the German climate, I'd rather live in a a warmer part of the world. During winter all the cold and the grey weather makes me angry and I spent my time looking at photos of tropical islands... But as soon as the summer is back, I want to embrace the world, well, at least the warmer parts of it. And because you always need something refreshing in the sunshine, here is a recipe for my easy-peasy Happy-Summer-Juice which tastes best when ice-cold.

You need:
4 big oranges
½ watermelon
500 g / 1 pound of strawberries
12 big basil leaves
Peel the oranges, scrape out watermelon pulp, wash the strawberries and cut off the green stuff.
Then throw everything into a blender and blend it into a smoothie. Then strain it through a fine strainer, throw away the pulp and keep the juice in a jug.
Wash the basil leaves, cut them into pieces and throw them into the juice.
Let everything sit in the fridge for at least two hours and then enjoy.
Lots of love,
Neva
